Learn to Sail 1 & 2

Learn-to-Sail 1 (12 hours)

Our Learn-to-Sail course covers the basics. We’ll teach you how to rig and derig the boat, leave and return to the dock, and get the boat to go where you want, upwind and down. This course is great for those who have never sailed before and want to try it out, as well as for those looking to review the fundamentals of sailing. When you are done, our instructors will leave you with a personalized plan for improvement to help guide you as you practice your new skills.

Learn-to-Sail 2 (12 hours)

Our Learn-to-Sail 2 course picks up where Learn-to-Sail 1 left off. We review the basics and continue with the rest of the Basic Keelboat curriculum. This course is good for those who already know some of the basics. Students have the option to take the US Sailing Basic Keelboat certification exam at the conclusion of the course.
